Destination wedding at Udaipur-The City of Lakes

She wore a Dolly J Studio outfit and shone like the bride she always wanted to be. Bride Komal Jain dreamed of a destination wedding and she chose Udaipur – City of Lakes for it.
Our wedding was no less than a dream says bride Komal Jain. We wanted a destination wedding and what better than the City Of Lakes – Udaipur. Choosing the hotels was a big task, but the minute we saw Hotel Lakend, we knew this was the one. The beautiful Fatehsagar lake on one side, covered with mountains, had  the perfect view. The rooms were modern and spacious with the views of the lake and Aravalli mountains. The warm hospitality coupled with luxurious design completely matched our vision. We had roped in Silver Craft Events as our wedding planner and event management team. We had seen their work earlier and were sure that they would perfectly execute our wedding.

Our wedding nuptials took place over two days. On the first day we had the DJ Night. It took place in Artist House which was one of the best clubs in Udaipur.  This was definitely the best way to kick start the wedding as everyone finally enjoyed after all the months of planning and preparations. Everyone danced their hearts out.

The next day we had the Flamingo themed engagement ceremony. was a vibrant, colourful and fun filled event. The host Khushboo Nandwani entertained the guests through various fun activities. There were stalls to give it a carnival effect. There were bangles for everyone, foot spa, human jenga, darta foot ball, tarot reading and magician to name a few for complete entertainment. The entire catering was taken care of by Foodberry.

The sangeet was a glamorous function where we all took a step away from tradition and followed a Shimmer Night theme. The entire decoration was done to stay in line with the theme. The ceiling had sparkling disco balls along with Danglers to add the dazzle. We had LED Displays all over the pathway which displayed pictures of us. This gave a personal touch. The entire flooring was sequenced black and white. We had hired team Vivek as our wedding choreographer.
The Phoolo Ki Holi  was the highlight of our wedding. I wanted a boat entry, Ayush and I entered the venue on a speed boat on the Fathesagar Lake. The theme of the event was Radhe Krishna. We entered the venue and were followed by Radhe Krishna dance. The entire pathway was filled with colour poppers. Our families welcomed us with showers of petals. The stage was filled with flowers along with the dance by the crew. There was a traditional folk dance along with games organised, and our families danced their hearts out.

The Varmala cum Reception had to be a grand event. The entry was a royal one. The crew was dressed in Rajasthani attires. They carried huge lit Diya stands along with torches, which added glamour and a regal touch to the night. The entire pathway was lit with fire crackers as we walked up to the stage. As we exchanged our Varmala the entire stage dazzled with electric crackers. The night seemed so bright. The stage was decorated to enhanced our outfits. Everyone had plenty of fun in the baraat as they danced along, accompanied by a massive cavalry of horses and elephants.
Our Pheras took place at midnight by The Fatehsagar Lake. The mandap had a floral ceiling, surrounded with a sit down for the guests. We chose a traditional pink, gold, and cream color palette theme to sync with our outfits.
