Udaipurwati is beautiful town situated in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan and Udaipur is quite far off from there. Its name comes from the idea that the town was called ‘the Udaipur of Shekhawati’ by the royals. The region is also known as the fresco Capital of India and is famous for its mentions in the Mahabharat.

Situated in this rich region is the Welcome Heritage Inderpura Resort. A beautiful property that is perfect for your off-beat bachelorette. If you and your girlies dig a historic location with off beat activities to do, then this is the place to be.

The resort is just a smooth 4-hour drive away from Gurgaon. The location is easy to find but not easy to forget. It is on the foothills of the Aravalli range and the view from the resort is breath-taking. We were welcomed in a tradition Rajasthani way with Arati thalis and garlands and escorted to our rooms and I must say their service is excellent. The resort is a new construction but follows the architectural style of Rajasthani Havelis. I noticed the use of arches, jharokas, marble and wooden interior and the famous Shekhawati work on the tables. The feeling of grandeur never goes away with the Aravallis in the backdrop.

While you are there, your girl gang and you should definitely put on your shoes and go bicycling all around the hills and yes there are cycles in the resort! A visit to Nawalgarh, home of beautiful fresco paintings and havelis is also a must. Enjoy an evening with Rajasthani folk music and puppet show and request a camel ride with the tour of a local village. You will be amazed at how much history these small villages have. In fact, the father-son duo running this amazing property belong to the nearby village and have grown up there!

The lush green gardens of the resort and picturesque views will never let you miss the hustle of the city and thus gives you the perfect weekend with your girlies before your wedding. Their pool side is perfect for a fun evening with your girlfriends and their indoor game centre will set the holiday mood. The resort’s multi-cuisine restaurant has our heart. A must try are the local dishes that the chef prepares and trust us, they are exquisite. Also, the variety of yummy pickles in the region is amazing. Do pick up a bottle or two from the local market.
