Long distance Love

Long distance love is difficult when meeting up becomes not possible as much as you would want to, but when you overcome everything and get hitched the happiness is next level. Read below the love story of Akshay and Albina, written by the bride Albina herself. Their story was not just of different states or different religion but became different countries due to Albina’s job in Singapore.

Hi, I’m Albina, So here’s my love story in brief.

So, Akshay and me, knew each other as classmates since we were in the same school. But we never really spoke back then, just knew each other as acquaintances. Fast forward to 2014, one day we just started talking via chat, we spoke on and off for almost 11 hours ! That day onwards, we just knew there was something special about our connection.
Unfortunately, I had moved to Singapore for work that same year and meeting up was very difficult. Luckily I had my monthly trips back to India, so we used to meet once a month, sometimes twice but that was it. Post that, we were in a long distance relationship for almost 6 years, after which we decided to get married in Mumbai on 20-02-2020.

I can truly say that Akshay has taught me the true meaning of love. His determination to make this relationship work through all those years, is definitely one of the reasons why we’re married today. We had a mixed marriage in February this year. I’m a Christian and he a Maharashtrian Hindu. So we had 2 marriage ceremonies on 2 different days, one in the church and then a Marathi wedding, which was followed by a reception party. We also had a monogram logo, which was a combination of both our initials. We had that printed on our invitations, wedding cake and stage background.
